Our tractor road run was indeed a great success, almost 80 exhibits turned up and we were pleased to see a number of classic cars taking part.
We would like to thank all those who attended and most importantly supported the charity of choice on the night. A handsome sum was raised and will be added to the collection at our next Ferguson lecture night in November, only then can we truthfully announce our total to the worthwhile Helping Hands Children`s Charity in Belfast.
We can offer to meet parties , historic groups and coach parties at the memorial garden. A short welcome to include history on Harry Ferguson and our history on the memorial project is available on request. Please contact Bill Forsythe For appointments. Mobile 07720262530. Or. NO PLANS FOR AN AUGUST HOMESTEAD SATURDAY EVENT 2016 .
We apologise for no Homestead events in the past few years, this was largely due to poor weather. Please understand that inclement weather prior and during the event can mean poor attendance. This means all the hard work and planning is for little return, in terms of fund raising, for the chosen charity.
We are looking at the possibility in returning with an anniversary event in the near future and we will advertise accordingly. We the committee must point out that all our events pre memorial garden opening was indeed to support that purpose. Any events we stage now throughout the year (tractor road run and lecture night) is for the benefit of the charity for that year and we are proud that we support local charities.
